12:00 – 1:00 pm EST
Rivers and careers have much in common. You can experience everything from the calm pool of water to attempting to shoot the rapids, and even having to navigate over the thundering drop of a 1,000-foot waterfall. Or you may feel stuck, like you are high-centered on a sandbar without a way to escape. Fortunately, there are tools you can use to navigate the unknown and ever-changing river that is your career. Tanis Cornell will share lessons for safe navigation and how to avoid the mistakes that can send you over the waterfall. You will learn how to master the political environment of the workplace, how to find mentors and sponsors, and other tips for successful career navigation.
